Rapeseed oil is a very universal culinary fat. It is suitable for consumption cold and for frying. The low content of trans isomers makes it also very healthy, because it does not disturb the cholesterol balance and slows down the formation of atherosclerotic deposits in the circulatory system.
There are two types of edible rapeseed oil: cold pressed and refined.
Cold-pressed oil is obtained similarly to olive oil: selected rape seeds are washed and crushed mechanically, then the oil is filtered until the desired quality and taste are obtained. This method is time-consuming, and the resulting cake still contains large amounts of oil, which cannot be pressed mechanically, but the production does not use chemical solvents, which guarantees that we obtain a natural, chemically unprocessed oil with excellent taste properties.
Refined oil is most often hot pressed with the use of solvents that release larger amounts of oil from the grains, which is then filtered and refined.

VEGETABLE OILS
Vegetable oils are liquid fats of plant origin, obtained from seeds, fruits and also plant sprouts. The vast majority of vegetable oils are used as edible fats, but also as ingredients in cosmetics, and some of them as medicinal products. They are also used as raw materials for the production of varnish, painting and impregnation materials. Their importance in the fuel industry as raw materials for fuel production is growing. World production of vegetable oils is steadily growing.
